Simple suggestions for picture book authors

Hello! It’s so lovely to see you here.

I’m writing this the day before I post which is something I never do. I like to prepare early and refine and tinker. It’s why I’m so slow but I think picture books require it. We have less than 500 words to play with after all; they need to be right. Sometimes, writers ask me to read a manuscript for picture book advice. I respond with feedback that’s hopefully constructive and then, an hour later, they reply with, Thanks! Great
